What if I am unsure counselling is for me?

We can have a 20 minute phone chat to see if counselling is something that might be useful and helpful for you, before considering an initial meeting.

Is my information confidential?

Absolutely. The content of your sessions are completely confidential. I am bound by the ethical standards of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

How many sessions will I need?

This varies individually. We can discuss in detail in your first few sessions. Initially I suggest a commitment of 6 sessions.

How much will each session cost?

Fees vary dependent upon where your sessions are held.

Do you charge for the initial assessment?

Yes I do charge a normal sessional fee for our first meeting.

Will my insurance pay for my sessions?

I am registered with Aviva, Axa PPP Healthcare, WPA and Healix.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If I can see you at another time in the week, I will always try to accommodate you.

Are you flexible on times each week?

You will be given a regular weekly session time. If you have one-off events, I will always try to offer you another session that week.

Can I take holidays?

Yes. My clients can take 4 weeks holiday a year which will not be charged for.

Are you close to tube stations?

Yes. 85 Wimpole St is a 4 minute walk from Bond St (Jubilee & Central line) tube station, a 6 minute walk from Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Victoria, and Central Line), and an 11 minute walk from Baker Street (Jubilee & Bakerloo line).

Is there parking in Wimpole Street?

Yes there is Pay-to-Park between 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Users can pay by calling 020-7125-9090 or SMS 07860-022205 (Location ID 8936). Or an underground car park a few minutes walk away in Cavendish Square.
