I have long been fascinated by human behaviour, and curious about what motivates us.
After two decades of story telling, in varied roles within television production, I chose to re-train as an addiction psychologist and psychotherapist. I needed to challenge the old rules, revise my sense of self and find meaning in midlife. Essentially, I am consciously working towards living a more authentic life, in which I can be my best self and support others to be so too. I find it both compelling and rewarding to witness my clients begin to change unhelpful thinking and see the world from a different perspective.
Following three years of specialist training in Addiction Psychology, I completed a three year Post Graduate Diploma in Attachment-Based Therapy to complement the addiction work, discovering how and why our individual attachment styles shape our adulthood, and the way we respond to challenges and anxieties in every stage of life.
Alongside workshop facilitation and occasional guest teaching, I run a busy private practice in Marylebone, London. My working style integrates
I am registered with and accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), and the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP). I partake in regular independent clinical consultation, and am committed to providing a safe, confidential, and non- judgemental environment.
